Terms, refunds, and cancellation

Two separate products
The $19 SHRM-CP Study Guide PDF is a one-time purchase. The SHRM AI Tutor is a separate optional subscription at $14.99 per month. Buying the PDF never enrolls you in the tutor and never authorizes a tutor charge.
Optional guide-buyer trial
An eligible guide buyer may affirmatively choose one seven-day tutor trial through a separate Stripe checkout. A payment method is required. The subscription begins at $14.99 per month after the trial unless canceled before the displayed trial end. Taking no action means no tutor enrollment or tutor charge.
Cancellation
You can cancel the tutor at any time through your dashboard. Cancel before the trial or renewal date to avoid the next charge. After cancellation, paid access ordinarily continues through the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
For the PDF guide, email us within seven days of purchase for a refund. If an optional tutor trial converts and you did not intend to continue, email us within seven days of the first paid tutor charge; we will cancel and refund that first charge. Later subscription periods are generally nonrefundable after they begin, but we will correct duplicate charges and verified billing errors.
Service availability
We may temporarily limit or pause requests to protect account security, service reliability, and reasonable shared use. Saved progress remains available during temporary interruptions.
Weekly progress reports
Active and trialing tutor members can receive a Monday progress email summarizing recent activity, accuracy, readiness, strengths, weak areas, and a recommended next action. Reports are based on saved study evidence and are not official score predictions. You can turn weekly reports off from your dashboard at any time.
Educational use
SHRM Cert Guide is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by SHRM. Materials and AI responses are educational, may contain errors, and are not legal or employment advice. We do not promise that using the guide or tutor will produce a passing score.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, attempt to bypass access or usage limits, probe other accounts, submit harmful code, share an account broadly, or use the tutor to process confidential or unlawfully obtained information. We may suspend access needed to protect customers or the service.
