shrmcertguide.com (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides independent SHRM exam-preparation resources. This policy explains the information used to deliver the PDF guide, customer accounts, and optional AI Tutor.
Information we collect
We receive your email address, Stripe customer and transaction identifiers, purchased products, subscription status, and refund state. If you use an account or the tutor, we store your profile preferences, tutor messages, answers, diagnostics, topic progress, study plans, review history, session summaries, token usage, and measured AI cost. We also receive standard technical data such as IP-derived security identifiers, browser information, timestamps, and analytics events.
How we use it
We use this information to deliver purchases, authenticate accounts, enforce entitlements and usage limits, personalize study recommendations, generate weekly progress reports for tutor members who have them enabled, prevent abuse, provide customer support, process refunds or cancellations, measure product performance, and protect the service. We do not sell personal information.
AI processing
Tutor messages and limited relevant learning context are sent to our configured AI provider to generate a response. Do not enter confidential employer information, sensitive personal data, legal case details, health information, or information you are not authorized to share. AI responses can be incomplete or incorrect and are educational—not legal, employment, or professional advice.
Service providers
Stripe processes payments and subscriptions. Supabase provides authentication and database services. OpenAI processes tutor requests. Resend delivers weekly tutor progress emails. Vercel hosts the application and runs the weekly schedule. Google Analytics 4 helps us understand site and funnel usage. Each provider handles data under its own terms and security practices.
Cookies and analytics
Authentication cookies keep you signed in. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers. You can block nonessential cookies in your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out.
Retention and deletion
Purchase and billing records are retained as needed for fulfillment, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Learning history remains available while the account is maintained. You may request account or learning-data deletion; some transaction records may need to be retained. Deleting learning data does not itself cancel a Stripe subscription.
Security and children
We use access controls, signed payment events, row-level database security, and server-side usage limits. No internet service is perfectly secure. The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your account information, subject to applicable requirements. You can turn weekly progress emails on or off and manage or cancel a tutor subscription through your dashboard.
